Delph Walling Stone
This natural walling stone is called Delph after the original Yorkstone quarries, which were known as Delphs or Delfs.
A high-quality natural bed stone, it is made from small blocks of stone in the quarry and comes in both coursed and random sizes. It can be either flat-faced or pitched.
Delph walling stone has a rustic appearance, as can be seen by the many farm buildings and old cottages in Yorkshire that are constructed from it.
It is naturally durable and weathers beautifully, so reclaimed delph stone is the perfect choice for refurbishments, extensions, garages and new outbuildings at older homes, and can also be used to give new-builds instant character.
Our reclaimed Delph stone has been used in many projects including an extension to an old farmhouse, where we matched the stone to the existing building - see the image gallery above.
We can supply large quantities of Delph walling stone and our specialist cutting service will ensure it matches your exact specifications.
